Overview
Nestled within the serene landscapes of Uttarakhand’s Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, the Kedarkantha trek is a picturesque adventure that unfolds over six days, including travel to and from Dehradun. As trekkers embark on this journey, they are greeted by breathtaking vistas of snow-capped peaks, dense pine forests, and pristine alpine meadows.
The trek begins from either Dandkyari or Sankari, a quaint village adorned with traditional wooden houses and surrounded by majestic mountains. From here, the trail gradually ascends through enchanting forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron, offering glimpses of wildlife such as Himalayan deer and musk deer along the way.
